Women's Soccer Shuts Out Lake Superior 8-0

The Anoka-Ramsey Women's Soccer team returned from an extended break and didn't appear to have much rust as they ran away with an 8-0 victory over Lake Superior on Sunday afternoon.

The Golden Rams, playing their first match in over two weeks, dominated the game from the outset with Liberty Morrice-Bartlett scoring just one minute into the game.

Anoka-Ramsey scored six first half goals with Sunasia Pargo and Mayerlin Johnson scoring in the 9th and 23rd minutes respectively.

Those goals were followed by Lauren Ives and Lauren Baurr scoring in short order, along with a second goal from Morrice-Bartlett before the break.

Victoria Newton got involved in the action with a goal in the 57th minute, and Baurr added her second of the game in the 79th minute.

In addition to her two goals, Morrice-Bartlett had three assists.

The Golden Rams improve to 2-2 overall and will travel to Dakota County Tech on Tuesday.
