Women's Soccer Gets Weekend Sweep

The Anoka-Ramsey Community College Women's Soccer team improved to 4-0 on the season with two weekend wins.

On Saturday afternoon the Golden Rams fought through a sluggish first half to score three second half goals in a 3-0 win over College of Lake County.

Three different Golden Rams found the back of the net.

Michaela Donat scored in the 60th minute for a 1-0 lead, followed quickly by Jen Kisch in the 63rd minute as Anoka-Ramsey went up 2-0.

Katy Ostlund finished things off in the 80th minute from an assist by Kisch.

Makayla Halford saved all six shots on goal from Lake County.

On Sunday morning the Golden Rams faced off against UW-Superior and escaped with a 2-0 win.

Katy Ostlund scored in the eighth minute of play.

The Golden Rams would notch another goal in the 18th minute to take the 2-0 lead into the break, with neither team able to score in the second half.

Anoka-Ramsey will travel to the University of Northwestern on Wednesday, September 7th for a 5:00pm game.
