The Anoka-Ramsey Women's Basketball team suffered their first loss of the season 79-49 to Bismarck State, before bouncing back with a 79-52 win over Bay College the next day.

The size of the Bismarck State Mystics was too much for the Golden Rams as they controlled the boards 62-33 and shot 42.9 percent while holding the Golden Rams to just 27 percent.

Anoka-Ramsey managed to force 28 turnovers on 19 steals, which led 11 more field goal attempts. However the Mystics countered by getting to the free throw line 27 times compared to just 11 for Anoka-Ramsey.

Demaiyah Hill scored 21 points to lead Anoka-Ramsey.

On Sunday, the Golden Rams used stifling defense in the second and third quarters and eventually built a 31 point lead in the fourth quarter against the Bay College Norse.

After a first quarter that saw the teams combine for just 5 of 29 shooting, the Golden Rams fell behind 10-7 but finished the second quarter on a 21-7 run.

Anoka-Ramsey jumped out to a 32-17 lead early in the third, but the Norse closed with seven at 36-29.

From there the Golden Rams went on a 13-0 run to lead by twenty and never looked back.

Anoka-Ramsey shot 10 of 26 from three and outrebounded the Norse 54-36 while forcing 24 turnovers.

Hill scored 18 points making 9 of 10 free throws, and hauled in ten rebounds.

Piper Flemming scored 17 off the bench hitting 5 of 9 from three-point range.

LaTayla Pemberton hit 3 of 5 threes to finish with 13 points.

Anoka-Ramsey is 7-1 overall and is off until December 29-30.
