Sunny Strait Named NJCAA Pitcher of the Week

Anoka-Ramsey softball player Sunny Strait was named the NJCAA Division III Pitcher of the Week for her performance in the circle last week.

Strait pitched 11 innings, going 2-0, and struck out 15 batters while scattering five hits.  Strait allowed just three runs in her two outings as the Golden Rams went 4-0 overall on the week.

On top of her pitching performance Strait belted four more home runs, bringing her total to 13 on the season and leading all of NJCAA Division III.

In the circle, Strait is sixth in the nation with 71 strikeouts, and sixth in wins with nine.

The Golden Rams are 11-4 overall on the season and lead the MCAC Southern Division at 5-1.
