Anoka-Ramsey softball players Sunny Strait and Emma Bright were both honored by the MCAC for their efforts last week.

Strait was named the MCAC Southern Division Pitcher of the Week for the fourth straight week.

Bright was named the MCAC Southern Division Player of the Week for the second time this season.

In the circle, Strait once again exerted her dominance pitching 11 innings and striking out 15 batters.  She allowed just five hits and three earned runs.  On top of her pitching performance, Strait again showed why she's one of the top hitters in the nation going 11 for 15 with four home runs and 13 RBI.  Strait now has 13 home runs on the season, tops in the nation.

Bright continues to put up historic numbers at the plate for the Golden Rams, going 13 for 17 with four doubles and three triples while scoring seven runs.  Bright also stole five more bases, putting her second in the nation with 24 on the season.  She's also second in the nation in batting average at .661.

Anoka-Ramsey is on a four game win streak at sit at 11-4 overall on the season while leading the MCAC Southern Division at 5-1.
