Anoka-Ramsey softball player Sunny Strait was named the MCAC Pitcher and Player of the Week for her performance in last week's win over Rainy River.

This is the first time this season that a player has won both of the awards in the same week, and it's the second straight week that Strait has won Pitcher of the Week.

In the Golden Rams' 10-5 victory over Rainy River, Strait was 2 for 2 from the plate belting two home runs.  She drove in four runs and walked twice.

Strait also struck out six batters from the circle.

Anoka-Ramsey is 6-3 overall on the season and will face MCAC rival St. Cloud Tech on April 14.
