Anoka-Ramsey Softball players Sunny Strait and Emma Bright earned recognition from the MCAC for their performance on the field last week.
Sunny was the MCAC Southern Division Pitcher of the Week after starting four games and winning them all. Strait threw 26 innings allowing 18 runs while striking out 20 and walking only three batters. She was also a force at the plate belting six home runs and driving in 14 runs.
Emma was named the MCAC Southern Division Player of the Week for her offensive performance in the team's four wins. Emma was 11-15 from the plate with three walks. Bright had two four-hit games while driving in six runs, and stole ten bases in ten attempts. She currently leads the nation in steals with 14.
The Golden Rams are 5-3 overall and host Rainy River on Tuesday, April 6th.
