Edvonte Copeland Named MCAC Player of the Week

Anoka-Ramsey Community College freshman guard Edvonte Copeland was named the MCAC Southern Division Player of the Week for his performance in two games last week.

Copeland averaged 25.5 points making 9 of 21 shots from the three-point line as the Golden Rams split their two road league games.

In a 77-74 loss to Ridgewater, Copeland scored a career-high 28 points on 10 of 21 shooting including 4 of 10 from the three-point line and a perfect 4 of 4 from the free throw line.

In a 88-84 overtime win over Western Tech, Copeland scored 23 points making 9 of 18 shots and 5 of 11 three-pointers to go with four rebounds and five steals.

Copeland is the third Golden Ram to earn the honor this season.
