Anoka-Ramsey Community College freshman Mahad Haji was named the MCAC Southern Division Player of the Week for his efforts last weekend vs. Bismarck State and Vermilion.

Haji averaged 22.5 points knocking down 11 of 17 shots (64.7 percent) from the three-point line.

In a win over Bismarck State, Haji scored 24 points on 9 of 12 shooting including 6 of 9 from the three-point line.

In an overtime loss to Vermilion, Haji scored 21 points on 7 of 12 shooting and 5 of 8 from beyond the arc.

Mahad has connected on 47.7 percent (21-44) of his three-point attempts this season while averaging 10.4 points per game.

The Golden Rams are 6-5 on the season.
