Baseball season ends with Saturday split

The Anoka-Ramsey Baseball team split their two home games with M|State Fergus Falls, resulting in the end of their season as they fell just short of qualifying for the MCAC tournament.

The Golden Rams dropped the first game 6-5, then won the second 9-5.

In game one, Anoka-Ramsey was led by Evan Krogen who went 2 for 3 at the plate with a double and an RBI.

Cole Swift, Caden Johnson, Brett Leabch, Ramon Perez, and Levi Mickelson each recorded a hit.

Zane Christianson struck out seven batters.

In the 9-5 win the Golden Rams had seven different batters get a hit, with Will Ambrose going 2 for 3 at the plate with two runs scored and an RBI.

Leabch, Perez, Ambrose, and Isaiah Mead each had a double in the game.  The Golden Rams turned four double plays.

Jack Teachworth threw six innings scattering four hits and striking out five batters.

Anoka-Ramsey finishes the season 16-19 overall.
