Golden Rams take one of two at home from Alexandria

The Anoka-Ramsey Baseball team took one of two home games from Alexandria on Monday at Castle Field, dropping the first game 11-4 before winning the second 4-1.

In the loss, the Golden Rams mustered just three hits and committed three errors.

Cole Swift, Collin Tollefson, and Antonio Rivera accounted for the hits as Anoka-Ramsey left 14 runners on base.

Zane Christianson threw four innings allowing five hits and five earned runs in the loss.

Anoka-Ramsey bounced back in game two getting ten hits including a 3 for 4 performance from Caden Johnson who drove in two runs.

Brett Leabch and Isaiah Mead each had two hits.

Preston Thielke threw five innings striking out four batters and allowing just one unearned run.

Carson Shaver came in to get the save over two innings allowing just one hit.

Anoka-Ramsey is 11-12 on the season, 5-5 in the MCAC Central Division.
