Game 1: Itasca 8 - Anoka-Ramsey 7
Anoka-Ramsey Community College fell to Itasca Community College 8-7 on Tuesday on the final play of the game. Itasca Community College was down 7-6 in the bottom of the seventh inning when Samuel Candelario doubled on a 1-2 count, scoring two runs.
Anoka-Ramsey collected nine hits and Itasca had seven in the high-scoring affair.
Anoka-Ramsey opened up scoring in the first inning, when Brandon Watkins singled on a 1-2 count, scoring one run.
Anoka-Ramsey put up four runs in the fourth inning. Watkins and Patrick Perreault all moved runners across the plate with RBIs in the inning.
Itasca scored four runs in the sixth inning, which was led by Dawson Stevens, Candelario, Ryan Akkanen, and Daniel Wensloff, who each had RBIs in the inning.

Game 2: Anoka-Ramsey 11 - Itasca 3
Anoka-Ramsey Community College nabbed the lead late in the game in an 11-3 victory over Itasca Community College on Tuesday. The game was tied at three with Anoka-Ramsey batting in the top of the fifth when Hunter Smith singled on a 2-2 count, scoring one run.
Patrick Perreault led Anoka-Ramsey to victory by driving in four runs, where he went 2-for-4 at the plate.
Anoka-Ramsey scored four runs in the sixth inning. The Golden Rams batters contributing to the big inning included Perreault, Benji Bruce, and Smith, all driving in runs in the frame.
Bruce was the winning pitcher for the Golden Rams. The righthander allowed six hits and three runs over four innings, striking out four and walking one. Dan Foley threw three innings in relief out of the bullpen. Foley recorded the last nine outs to earn the save for Anoka-Ramsey Community College.
Daniel Wensloff took the loss for Itasca Community College. The pitcher surrendered four runs on five hits over four and two-thirds innings, striking out three.
Anoka-Ramsey scattered 11 hits in the game. Mike Schroer, Smith, and Perreault all collected multiple hits for the Golden Rams. Anoka-Ramsey didn't commit a single error in the field. Zach Ziesmer had the most chances in the field with eight.
