Baseball Salvages Win in Game Two vs RCTC

Game 1: Rochester 6 - Anoka-Ramsey 1

Anoka-Ramsey Community College lost the lead late in a 6-1 defeat to Rochester Community and Technical College on Sunday. The game was tied at one with RCTC batting in the top of the ninth when Grant Miskimins hit a solo homer.

Anoka-Ramsey got on the board in the first inning when Brandon Watkins singled on a 0-1 count, scoring one run.

In the top of the fourth inning, RCTC tied things up at one when Blake Schilling singled on a 0-1 count, scoring one run.

Landon Stoppelmoor earned the win for RCTC. The righthander went three innings, allowing zero runs on three hits and striking out three.

Drake Bakkum took the loss for Anoka-Ramsey. The righthander surrendered five runs on four hits over two innings.

Alec Dietl started the game for RCTC. The pitcher lasted six innings, allowing seven hits and one run while striking out two and walking one.  Braydon Buttweiler started the game for Anoka-Ramsey. The lefty went seven innings, allowing one run on seven hits, striking out eight and walking zero

RCTC smacked two home runs on the day. Miskimins had a long ball in the ninth inning. Gabe Sepulveda also homered in the 9th.

Anoka-Ramsey racked up ten hits on the day. Nate Tillman and Watkins all had multiple hits for the Golden Rams. Tillman went 3-for-4 at the plate to lead Anoka-Ramsey in hits.

Rochester tallied 11 hits in the game. Steven Shallcross, Sepulveda, and Izaak Stevens each had multiple hits.

 

Game 2: Anoka-Ramsey 4 - Rochester 3

Anoka-Ramsey Community College was victorious over Rochester Community and Technical College, 4-3

In the first inning, RCTC got their offense started when Ryan Robby doubled on a 0-1 count, scoring two runs.

In the bottom of the third inning, Anoka-Ramsey tied things up at two. Patrick Perreault drove in one when he singled.

The Golden Rams pulled away for good with one run in the fourth inning, where Jake Kouri singled on a 0-2 count, scoring one run.

Nate Tillman got the win for Anoka-Ramsey. The righty surrendered three runs on nine hits over seven innings, striking out seven and walking one.

Paxton Gravlin took the loss for RCTC. The righthander went four and a third innings, allowing four runs on six hits and striking out four.

Anoka-Ramsey tallied one home run on the day, where Brandon Watkins had a long ball in the first inning.

Mike Schroer went 2-for-3 at the plate to lead the Golden Rams in hits.
