Anoka-Ramsey Community College took the lead late in the game in a 7-4 victory over Century College Ducks on Friday. The game was tied at four with Anoka-Ramsey batting in the bottom of the fifth when Brandon Watkins doubled on a 3-1 count, scoring one run.
Anoka-Ramsey earned the victory despite allowing Century College to score four runs in the first inning. Ben Clapp and Wright powered the big inning with RBIs.
Dan Foley pitched the Golden Rams to victory. The southpaw allowed four hits and four runs over seven innings, striking out eight.
Blake Gulden took the loss for the Ducks. Gulden surrendered five runs on five hits over four and a third innings, striking out two.
Benji Bruce led Anoka-Ramsey with three hits in four at bats. The Golden Rams didn't commit a single error in the field. Mike Schroer had eight chances in the field, which was the most on the team.
