Anoka-Ramsey sophomore Brandon Watkins was named the MCAC Southern Division Player of the Week for his performance last week in the Golden Rams' contests.

Watkins, from Kenosha, WI, hit .429 with nine hits and two home runs and a triple.  He scored six runs to go along with five RBI and two walks.

The Golden Rams faced the top two teams in the MCAC in St. Cloud Tech and Riverland, coming away with one win.

In Anoka-Ramsey's 9-4 win over Riverland Watkins went 4 for 4 with a triple and three runs scored.  In a close 6-5 loss to St. Cloud Tech Watkins was 2 for 4 with two home runs.

Anoka-Ramsey is 6-10 overall.
