The Anoka-Ramsey Community College Women's Soccer team defeated Rochester Community and Technical College 2-0 on Tuesday afternoon in Coon Rapids.
While it didn't show in the final score, the Golden Rams controlled the game from the outset, repeatedly getting shots at the goal but unable to find the back of the net.
Anoka-Ramsey finally struck with eight minutes remaining in the half to take a 1-0 lead at halftime.
The second half was a mirror image of the first with the Golden Rams continuing to control the tempo and get looks at the net, but unable to put any through until three minutes remained for the final 2-0 margin.
The Golden Rams improve to 2-1 on the season and will travel to Iowa Central Community College on Saturday, September 16 to begin a three-game road swing over three days.
